About the Project
At the start of work, the travel agency Fortuna Travel already had a website, but it was not very good. The site was uninformative, and due to the inconvenient interface and other shortcomings in terms of usability, the Fortuna Travel website was significantly poorer than competitors' websites.
The main goal of cooperation with the travel agency Fortuna travel was to create a new bright and modern website with the option of online booking. Our primary goal was to develop a website structure that would convince the user to use the services of this company for organizing their holidays.
We have carefully planned and developed a website, integrated a booking system written in PHP.
Now our client has a powerful and convenient tool for selling bus and air tours.

IMPLEMENTATION OF GOALS
Preparatory Stage and Website Prototyping
Based on the questionnaire completed by the client, we began work on the project. First of all, the structure of the project was determined, the terms of reference were developed, including the shortcomings in the existing reservation system, which needed to be corrected. We chose MODX Revolution as a platform for implementation. This CMS fully met all the technical requirements of the project.
The next step was to design the website interface. This allowed us to determine the structure of each page of the project before developing the design. With the help of a prototype, we showed the customer the appearance of the pages and the structure of the website. We used the Axure RP tool to create a website prototype.
Design
The main goal was to achieve an easy-to-use and friendly interface. The visual solution of the website is based on the use of the customer's corporate colors.
The design of Fortuna Travel draws attention to the most important thing - tours all the available and necessary information about them, and the responsive design makes the use of the website convenient for users on various types of mobile devices.
Implementation Features
Search and Filtering
We have paid special attention to the module for searching and filtering tours. We have implemented a special module that provides a convenient search for all tours presented on the website, as well as filtering by various parameters depending on the selected tour category.
A website user can easily choose a tour to his favorite country, designate a specific date range for a vacation and enter additional search parameters.
Detailed Description of the Tour
Tour description pages are designed to be practical and user-friendly:
- the tour page displays information about all possible dates, duration, route of the tour;
- users have access to the contact information of the manager, who is ready to answer all their questions regarding the trip;
- users have access to a detailed description of the tour and the ability to download the description in PDF.
Submitting an Application for a Tour
When submitting an application, all tourists will have the opportunity to choose additional excursions to the main tour. When placing an order, the user needs to fill in the data step by step in order to minimize the risk of errors and successfully fill out the form.
Using Tour Operators Frames
In some categories of tours, the ability to use partner frames has been added. This helps to significantly expand the range of tours and excursions.
