About the project
The company "GAK Mēbeles" exists in the Latvian market for more than 28 years and is engaged in the production and sale of upholstered furniture.
GAK Mēbeles already had a website, but it did not meet modern requirements and did not sell well. Outdated design and functionality repelled potential buyers. Also, the old site did not provide visitors with complete information on the range of products presented.
We have corrected all these shortcomings and created a site that meets all modern requirements and well represents the entire range of upholstered furniture.

Tasks- Create a website for a furniture company in the customer's corporate colors.
- Introduce a responsive layout for the correct display of the site on various devices.
- Develop convenient navigation and a clear catalog structure, present information about the company's products and as accessible and visual as possible.
- Optimize the site for search engines, improve positions in the search engine results and increase the number of orders through the site.

What we did- We designed the structure of the main and all internal pages of the site with a convenient and understandable structure.
- We developed an individual design, according to all the wishes of the customer. The site is completely responsive: it is correctly displayed on all screens, from a stationary computer to a smartphone.
- The site was programmed on the easy-to-administer CMS MODX Revolution.
- We collected a semantic core of queries, wrote content for the basic sections of the site, and optimized the site for search engines.

ResultAs a result, the client received a modern, working, optimized website with an individual design. The site of the furniture company fully fulfills the tasks assigned to it and is an effective sales tool.
We continue to cooperate with the client further, improving the site and expanding its capabilities.
TASK REALIZATION
Data collection and wireframing
At the wireframing stage, we explored the strengths and weaknesses of competitors, discussed with the client all the key points of the project, its business logic and structure.
Prototyping the site at an early stage allowed us to see the life of the project in the long term and reduce the risk of changes in the future, thereby saving the Customer's resources.
Design
In the design, emphasis was placed on the visual component since it is important for potential customers to consider in detail the company's products. To do this, we have prepared illustrations in high resolution and inscribed them in the overall design.
The design of the site is made in light colors and was accepted by the customer with almost no edits.
IMPLEMENTATION FEATURES
Administrative Panel (CMS)
We have programmed the administrative panel in such a way that the customer can assemble the pages of the site as a constructor. All blocks on the site turned on or off, and their order should be changed.
Possibility of product modification
The same model of the sofa can differ only in the color of the fabric, the material of the legs. In order not to oversaturate the general page of the catalog with similar models, we have implemented the ability to add modifications to the products with distinctive descriptions and prices.
Responsive design
Most of the Internet traffic comes from mobile devices. The site is fully adapted for all kinds of mobile devices running on iOS and Android.
